Barcelona Industry Week arrives

From October 1st to 6th, 2017 will be held in Barcelona the first edition of the Barcelona Industry Week, an event organized by Fira de Barcelona.

During this week, eight major events will take place simultaneously in order to give a global vision of the entire value chain of the future of the industry. The events will be the following ones:

World Chemical Summit

• The 1st edition of the World Chemical Summit seeks to reflect the contribution of chemistry to today's society through 6 thematic axes: Energy, Air and Water, Food, Health, Resource Efficiency and Digital Society.
• The event will be held at the Gran Vía de la Fira venue in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) on 4 and 5 October.

 

Equiplast

• The 18th edition of Equiplast, the International Meeting of Plastic and Rubber, wishes to highlight the advantages that plastic presents as a material in relation to others used in industrial processes, as well as insist on the need to minimize its environmental impact.
• The event will be held at the Gran Vía de la Fira venue in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) from 2nd to 6th October.

Expoquimia

• The 18th edition of Expoquimia, the International Chemistry Meeting, aims to showcase the latest innovations from the leading companies in the Spanish chemical sector and showcase the great potential of the Spanish chemical industry.
• Under the motto "Chemistry as an intelligent solution to the future of people and the planet", Expoquimia will be held from October 2 to 6, 2017, at the Gran Vía de la Fira venue in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).

During the Barcelona Industry Week, eight major events will be held simultaneously that will give an overall vision of the whole chain of value of the future of the industry.

Eurosurfas

• The 26th edition of Eurosurfas, the International Meeting of Surface Treatment, seeks to reflect the strength of a sector that has overcome the crisis thanks to the commitment to new technologies and innovation, which have led to the manufacture of so-called functional surfaces which offer new benefits applied to the finished product of the user sectors such as the automobile industry or the construction industry.
• Eurosurfas will be held from October 2 to 6, 2017, at the Gran Vía de la Fira venue in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).

 

IN(3D) From Needs to Solutions

• The 2nd edition of IN(3D)USTRY From Needs to Solutions will bring together the world's leading aeronautical and aerospace companies to reveal how and why the manufacture of additives is already being used in their production processes. It will also show some examples of the best applications of 3D technology in other sectors such as motor vehicles, retail, health and other industries.
• The event will take place from 3 to 5 October, in the Gran Vía de la Fira venue in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).

 

IoT Solutions World Congress

• IoT Solutions World Congress is the leading international event linking the Internet of Things to the industry. In its 2nd edition, the event has doubled the figures registered at its inauguration, with 172 exhibiting companies and more than 8,000 attendees from 70 countries.
• The event will take place from 3 to 5 October, in the Gran Vía de la Fira venue in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).

World Congress of Chemical Engineering

• The 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (WCCE) is an event organized by the European Chemical Engineering Federation, which will bring together more than 3,000 chemical engineers from all over the world and will be held for the first time in Spain.
• The event will take place from 1 to 5 October, in the Gran Vía de la Fira venue in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).
